The Panchachuli base camp trek is rhetorical and voluble. The treks near Uttarakhand encompass boons and windfalls.

Panchachuli base camp is located at the endmost point of the Kumaon region in its Eastern portion and is always surrounded with snow-cladded Himalayan peaks from all the sides.

Perfectly designed for a brief trek, you can undertake the trek from May to September.

Outlining our way back to the mythology, it is said that Panchauli or Draupadi, wife of all the 5 Pandavas prepared food for one last time midst the 5 colossal pinnacles, now called as Panchachuli peaks. There exists a divergence between Gori valleys and Darmaganga. Also, in late medieval history, the area used to be colonized by the reign of Shaukas or Bhotiyas as long as the border of Tibet was open for the local dwellers

Munsiyari is a spectacular village that offers exquisiteness of the nature’s grandeur in profusion.

One of the best Uttarakhand treks, Panchachuli base camp has lavishness of nature as well as the wealth of mythical tales.

Trek to Panchachuli base camp is a long trip of around 40 kilometers commencing at Dar to Panchachuli glacier. Snuggling closely in the snow draped mountains, the valley of Darma in the ostentatious district of Pithoragarh, is an exhilarating experience in its whole. Enriched with vegetation and wildlife, the itinerary to the glacier is totally obliged with the glorious bend of backcloths of panoramas, surreal beauty and escapades.

The best time to undertake the trek-

You can assume the Panchachuli base camp trek between March to June because the cold weather makes it quite affluent for the trekkers in the Summer season.

You can avoid trekking during rainy season as the passages become greasy and slick.

Fair and delightful climatic conditions during Spring season which is from Mid September to Late October is one of the finest period for the trek.

Panchachuli trek is strictly evaded during Winter season as the temperature faces momentous downfall from November to Late February.

It takes around 290kms and it is a long drive of 9 hours. The pleasing, illustrative beauty of Pithoragarh district has the amiable colors of Bhimtal, Almorah, Dhaulchina etc. The supercilious and appreciative ranges of the Himalayas, the valleys and the hamlets are the major attractions of the drive.

Dharchula which also served as the connecting link between India and Nepal for years.

You will be heading straight to Dar from the valley of Darma. It takes around 3 hours of drive alongside a breezy road with the tiny tribes residing around New Sobla and Tawaghat. Through the meadows of Bongling, reaching campsite of Urthing is an easy to do task. Keep walking for 3-4 hours. A narrow sharp overhang awaits at the trek. The gurgling rivulet of Dhauliganga river at the right, below the pathway. There is also rockstrewn cut cliff at the verge of the hamlet Bongling.

It is a tranquil yet easy going walk throughout the steeps, ascents and descents. The beautiful Dhauli Ganga streaming alongside the valleys, irrigate the rustic countryside with lush green vegetation.

The treks in India are comparatively are idyllic for all the trekkers. The innermost ranges of Himalayan walks via the lavish greenery and the suspension bridge help you reach to the extent to the campsite of Sela.

Stay in tent for the night.

The graveled pathway is paved to Naagling to the next 3 kilometers before we arrive into the profuse meadows of Coniferous trees. There are plenty of oak trees and birch trees in the intensified forests. At the pinnacle of the Nagling, the classic novel-like view is a vision for a lifetime. Walk forward to Baaling and you will come across the settlements of the tribal communities. The Darma valley has developed a sudden inclination from the trekkers.

Stay in tent for the night.

It is tough day and the trekker has to be committed enough to deal with the ambiguity. The trail you meet, is a long, contracted walk alongside the Dantu Bugyals. Striding through the dense forests while coming into the outskirts, you will find gushing glaciers on one end and river bed of Meola on the other end. The sharp descend to the Panchachuli Base camp is abrupt and requires cautiousness.

The straggling forests spread for an extensive area give rejuvenation and relief to all the trekkers. Panchchuli base camp strongly holds as a pillar on the backdrop. You will repeat the entire path again.

Uttarakhand trekking is quite easy. Day 6th is stress-free. Walk downhill towards the Bungling.

Stay in tent overnight.

  • Trekkers of India will help you walk downward to Urthing from Naagling.
  • Stay in tent for an overnight.

Begin your journey and start retracing to arrive at Sobla.

Commence driving back to Dharchula.

Stay in tent.

Trekkers of India will drive you back to Kathgodam.

Book your buses/trains from Kathgodam to your respective cities.

Accept the gallantry and retain the treks to Kumaon region.

Panchachuli base camp trek sustains the legacy of the medieval spells and stretches.
