Buran Ghati trek is certainly one of the most astonishingly beautiful trek from across the country, it is all a trekker wishes to happen at least once in life.
It’s a place where towering white peaks are touching the sky, views are strikingly gorgeous, culture is radiant and adventures are epic.
We do not deny the chances of falling in love with Buran Ghati trek, also known as Barua pass trek, as it makes all the visitors spellbound with the untouched and unparallel beauty of nature.
The most noteworthy attraction is the Chandranahan lake which is originating from Pabbar river, which flows from Pabbar valley, and appears no less than a fantasy land.
A lot of changes in perspectives can happen.
We, The team of Trekkers of India, is there to help you.

Major attractions of Buran Ghati trek-

Chandernahan lake:
Situated in the Pabbar valley, Chandranahan lake catches the attention of tourists all over the world.
Chandranahan lake is made up of 6 glacial ponds, and the trekking to this place, is the walk of glory, holding hands with gushing glaciers, thick meadows and colossal water bodies.
According to the folk tales, the crescent shaped moon of Lord Shiva took a holy dip in the lake, hence, it found its name Chandranahan lake.
Chandra- The moon
Nahan- Take a bath. (derived from Hindi word Nahan)
Wildflowers of variant nature, ardent pasture and snow clad mountains are carpeting the pathways.

Barua village:
Located in the lap of Himalayas, Barua village is the hidden prized possession, which comes in the district of Kinnaur. The infamous Barua village is attractive because of wooden architecture and silent ambience.
Who does not like to go to a place away from hustle bustle of the city!

The acclimatization day calls for a walk midst steep ascent and descent.

Chandranahan lake as the name suggests, has a significant story, as we interact with the local people. The crescent shape of the moon took a dip in the lake and the lake derived its name. The walk pass through the upstream, targeting the waterfall. June is the best time to visit the lake as the lake is covered with heavy quantity of snow, and makes it an apt place to make recollections at.

A complete photo book can be made, with the pictures captured at different angles at the lake.

Traversing back to Litham with a steep downwards, requires everyone to be close to the team leader as well as the members.

Dhundha is located at an elevation of 13,300ft, and takes 2 hours and we see a spotless, clear and adorned view of Dhauladhar range, emerging through Gunas pass.

Imagine watching the junction of white and grey mountains!

Unimaginable but real. The edges are visible with Litham in the left and Rupin valley in the right, and the pointed ascent points us to the destination Buran Ghati on the very left!

Overjoyed with the outline of the Buran ghati, we already create craft a sketch of the trek we have to conquer.

Dhuna is the campsite for the night.

And no emotion can justify the experiences we encounter on the day 6.

Trekking for nearly half the day, in the ascent and the descent is exhausting, but not difficult.

The instructions by the trek leader must be obeyed, as it takes almost an hour towards the Buran Ghati.

It can be risky and dodgy without the rope. Descents increase on a larger aspect and hence, asks a person to be careful.

The best time can be during September, when the snow thaw and the trekkers find it easier to walk than other months of the year.

The verdict of being the exception, and out-stand among-st all, is decided here at the top.

Barua village descends through the obscure and lavish pine, deodar and oak trees.

On the way, Barua khud magnetizes our eyes with its babbling torrent, and receives us with profused shrubs, apricots and peaches.

Soon after the Barua Khud, mountaineous cultivation catches our eyes.

As soon as the road is reached, we will drive back to Shimla.

We hope, you will have a great time with us.
