Long back, Ali & Bedni Bugyals were the major highpoints of the Roopkund trek, but due to jurisdiction and verdict of the High Court of Uttarakhand, the Roopkund trek had to stop.

  • Wan & Didna Villages- The pledge from Himalayas, the archetypal villages which certainly proffer the picture-perfect ingenuity to all the shutterbugs, photojournalists and snappers.
  • Latu devta & Shri Nanda Devi temple- Latu devta temple is an ancient temple, situated in the Wan village in the Chamoli district Of Uttarakhand.

Latu devta, according to the folk tales, is the brother of Shri Nanda devi who is worshipped as the presiding diety of Uttarakhand. The pious and sacred procession of Shri Nanda devi takes place after every 12 years.

  • Lohajung- A mythical tale says that the Demon Loha was killed by the Goddess Parvati on her way back to the Lord Shiva in the Himalayas. Demon Loha attempted to arrest the Goddess with his powers and was defeated.

 

How to reach Ali & Bedni Bugyal trek-

  • By Train- It takes the drive of around 10-11 hours.Kathgodam is the nearest railway station and connects to the important cities such as Delhi, Lucknow, Kolkata etc.
  • By Road- Kathgodam is majorly connected to all the significant cities of the nation, and takes approximately 10 hours by roadway.
  • By Flight- Flights are regularly available from Delhi to Pantanagar, and they just take 1 hour. It only takes 1 hour from Pantnagar to Kathgodam by taxis, cabs etc. The base camp is at Lohajung.

The finest time to visit Ali Bedni Bugyal Trek-

The trek can be carried out the entire year, no matter if it is Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.
The best time to embark on the trek is from April to June and from September to October.
During Spring to Summer, the mountain views are totally admirable and the snowflakes allure us with its captivation. The temperature ranges between plus 2 degrees to 10 degrees. The enthrallment is heartfelt.
During Rains, no trekker can refrain the collection of rhythmic jingles of the Mother nature and  the petrichor is perpetual and unremitting. The temperature varies between plus 3 degrees to 16 degrees.
During the autumn, the shades of blues paints the atmosphere and the buds bloom in lustre. During the daytime, the temperature fluctuates from plus 2 to plus 10 degrees. During the night time, the temperature changes from plus 5 to 0 degrees.
During Winters, the coverlets of snow fall and the smog over the vaults.

Itinerary

A long drive of 10-11 hours is undertaken from Kathgodam to Lohajung beginning at the time of sunrise. Summoning through the Shivalik Himalayas, reconnoitering from all quaint places of Kumaon province. The striking height of the Lohajung tranverses through Deval, is remarkable.

Stay overnight in homestay, guest house or lodge.

Commence at the crack of the dawn, so that Rani Bagad can be reached in 2 hours following the trace, midst the meadows. A beautiful brook called Neel ganga flows alongside the pathway and takes around 3 hours to arrive at Didna.

Do not satiate, but have enough food for the rest of the journey. The day is the amalgamation of ascents and descents, with the terrains being very beguiling.

Embolden the golden moments, and hold on to the view of the huge Ali Bedni Bugyal. The unsurpassed, unmatched emotion the pinnacle illustrates exalted view from the 360 degrees.

Once you arrive Ali Bugyal, along the edge, passes small ascent and the descent and the lavish flora. Keep walking for 3-4 hours and the gigantic forests of the eloquent  Bedni Bugyal is met.

A rather vertical climb that ushers into a slight ascend in the dreamy meadows. The trail follows a rather difficult climb into those Giant ancient trees. Making your way across stones for an hour and a half leads you to a vast meadow dressed in fairy green. We take the trail to the right which will lead us straight to Bedni Bugyal. Unexpectedly, the ancient trees fall behind us and we are welcomed by mammoth and breath taking Bedni Bugyal. We have arrived at the famous meadow. The sight is truly mesmerizing. All the dreams for one, one for all the dream. Gahroli Patal, the campsite is also the stoppage of the Nanda Devi procession after every 12 years.

Grandiloquent views within the meadows of Ghairoli Patal, with oak trees, pine trees, rhododendron trees, transverses through the hard bridge at Rani Bagad. Walk for an another one hour before you finally arrive in Wan village.

And drive to Lohajung

You conclude the journey of day 6th and the preceding life can have theamp of the trip for an another lifetime. Stay in Rishikesh or Haridwar.

  • Cancellation made 25 days before the trek- 90% cash refund or Get 100% of the trek fee in a Trekkers Of India Trek Voucher.

But in case we cancel a trek because of Lockdown, Natural calamities (snowstorms, thunderstorms, floods, landslides, earthquakes, bad weather) or unexpected political unrest, terrorism activity, curfews, local riots, or government orders, Trekkers Of India issues a voucher for the full amount of your trek fee paid to us or Alternate Trek will be arranged. You can redeem the Trek Voucher on any of our treks over the next one year or even extend it in case of emergency. NO CASH REFUND would be made.

    What If Trekker is on Trek & It is not completed due to natural calamities (snowstorms, thunderstorms, floods, landslides, earthquakes, bad weather) or unexpected political unrest, terrorism activity, curfews, local riots, or government orders?

    There would be NO REFUND in this case.
